Our story

Everything started with a stay abroad by our chairperson, Jonas Nickel, in Arusha (Tanzania) in January/February 2021. Jonas had the opportunity to work in Arusha as a flight paramedic with an air rescue company. In Germany, Jonas works in emergency services, and now he wanted to expand his experience on the African continent, which he had already grown fond of through previous travels. In addition, Jonas also helped 'on the ground' in smaller clinics and health stations, learning how the healthcare system functioned (or didn't) and the challenges faced by the local medical staff. During his stay, Jonas met Sarah Rejman, the founder of Plaster House, a facility for treating children with disabilities. Back in Germany, Jonas and his friends decided to establish an association that supports local projects in Tanzania, especially in Arusha in the health sector.

We appreciate every donation and are authorized as a non-profit association to issue donation receipts.

Our vision

During his journey, Jonas realized that it's often the small things that can make a big impact. Even modest donations can promote treatments and the provision of medical professionals. Additionally, the East African country is poorly equipped with medical supplies.

With the help of monetary and in-kind donations, we want to support our projects on the ground and improve the lives of many small and large patients. We aim to provide the population, which often lives in poverty, with unrestricted access to medical care.

We are committed to achieving the goal of reducing deaths from snake bites by 50% by 2030 and making the treatment of snake bites in Tanzania free of charge.
